An exercise ball is an inexpensive piece of equipment that should be in everyone’s home. It is incredibly versatile which allows you to target almost any muscle in your body while using it. In addition, many of Share It Fitness’ live classes will make use of the exercise ball; make sure you go out and get yourself one! Because it may be a little unfamiliar to some people, they often don’t know what to do with it. Below are 10 of the best exercises you can do with an exercise ball.
Trunk Extension – Strengthens the lower back and lower oblique muscles.
Crunches – Works the abdominal muscles.
Elevated Push-up – WOrks the pecs, shoudlers, and triceps. Place the tops of your feet on the center of the ball and walk your hands out until you arefully extended. Assume the push-up position and get pushing.
Hamstring Curls – Great exercise to strengthen your hamstrings and butt. Use a slow, fluid form.
Wall Squats– Great lower body exercise. Hold weights to up the difficulty.
Ball Rolls – Difficult exercise to strengthen the core muscles. May look easy, but don’t be fooled…this one is killer.
